Waiting for beam that may come before noon
i) Run # 1019 is a pedestal run.
ii) There will be a 2 hours intervention in the beam dump of Hall A to replace
hydrogen sensors.
iii) Set the magnet momentum at 2.55 GevV/c (Optics at +2%)
iv) Beam tune to Hall A starts at 3:30 pm
Notes on Magnet Tune :
*******************
- Q1 of the left arm happens to turn red because of a slightly bad mometum setting,
this is due to non-linearity in this momentum range. The current of Q1 should be
adjusted by hand in order to get the right value.
- Q2 + Q3 in the right arm were hanging while trying to get down to the right setting,
one possible reason is that EPICS does not take into account the value if there is no
change in the type set value. So that when cycling the quad, first put a momentum
larger than the target value by 1 MeV/c. Then cycle the quads. After cycling type the
exact momentum setting.
