Status of the Hall
------------------

The bucked coils of the first septum magnet have been repaired.  The
magnet is now being retrained.  As of July 9, it has reached 375 A, en
route to the ~500 A needed by Small Angle GDH.  Construction of the second
septum is progressing at BWXT.  It's expected to be completed by the
second week in August, leading to delivery at JLab before the end of August.
The magnet construction team from BWXT will be available after the end of
August if assistance is needed at JLab.  

Kees reiterated that all Lab related publications (journal
articles, abstracts, talks, proceedings, theses, etc.) should be 
entered in the JLab publication database found at:

Hall A Review and PAC 24 Results
--------------------------------
Seven Hall A proposals were submitted to PAC 24.  The proposals  
requested a total of 171 days of beam time.   Three of the proposals were
reviewed during this round (others had been previously reviewed).
The CC could like to thank all of the reviewers who greatly helped to
improve the quality of the proposals.

Conference Representation
-------------------------
Hall A hasn't been very well represented at recent conferences.  Advisors
are requested to urge their students to give talks, especially at the DNP
and APS meetings, but also at upcoming conferences, such as Santorini and
EEP03 (Grenoble).    


Collaboration Meeting & Analysis Workshop
-----------------------------------------

The next collaboration meeting will be in December (dates to be 
announced later).  B. Reitz and D. Lhuillier will also organize 
a third annual analysis workshop to be held in December before
the Collaboration Meeting.  This workshop will focus on the new 
C++ analyzer.  

CC Elections
-------------

The two-year terms of E. Voutier and D. Higinbotham have ended.  The CC
would like to thank them for their hard work during this period.
Also, welcome to the two new members: B. Reitz and D. Lhuillier.  
The positions of CC Chair and Secretary are now filled by D. Armstrong and
K. McCormick, respectively.
