The target operator has the following responsabilities:

For the first part of the experiment we will have LD2/LH2 target used.

• Monitoring the target:

  • First thing, any target operator must obtain target training from JP Chen.

  • The target operator must continuously know the target status. Visual monitoring is important, as an IOC failure may silence the alarms before they sound.

  • The target operator must reboot the target IOC when it has failed.

  • He/she must log any target event in the HALOG.

  • He/she is responsible for calling the expert on call (see white board) when needed.

• Monitor the BigBite and n-array detectors

  • At least twice during a shift run the gui and check all PM's in BigBite and the n-array.

  • Fill the run sheet.

  • Log any problems found in HALOG.

  • There are about 300 PMTs total in the n-array and BigBite that need to be monitored.
