The 3rd person has the following responsabilities:
 

• Start/Stop runs

  • The 3rd person is responsible for continuous data taking when beam is acceptable and experimental conditions are met.

  • He/she must ensure that the run information that will be entered automatically in the HALOG by CODA is accurate and exact. Again, think about the graduate student who will analyze the experiment...

• Fill out run sheet

  • The 3rd person should fill the run sheet FOR EVERY RUN.

  • He/she is responsible for printing the run sheets when needed.

• On line replay

  • After a new run was started replay online the first 100,000 events of the privious run.

• Make HALOG entries (at least twice per shift):

  • Hall A Tools screen

  • Magnet level strip chart

  • Septa controls screens

  • Septa strip charts

  • RICH HV and RICH gas screens

  • BPM and SLI strip charts
