GEn Detector Meeting 3/2/05 Present Bogdan Wojsekhowski, Tim Holstrom, Seamus Riordan, Neil Thompson, Igor Rachek, Vladimir Nelyubin, Ameya Kolarkar, Matt Bellis, Aiden Kelleher Start 2:12 Neil presented his n20 results. Made new cuts on data and calculated the pedestal values and gains for the N20 array. Will start calculating the speed of light in the bars. Amelya has been measuring the count rates in the scalars and TDCs. Discovered a pulser was not plugged in so will be using HRS data to get an estimate. Discussed using the TDCs to calculate rates. Seamus looked through the n20 database checking geometries. Will begin work on setting up data aquisition for the BigBite drift chambers. Last of CMU detectors will be delivered March 3 Aiden will be looking through the HRS database files to determine accuracy for n20 analysis. Vladimir has been committed to developing the target for GEn. Work continues on the wire chambers and plans to be completed in about two weeks. Will prepare to mount the chamber in 3 weeks. Igor has made a great amount of progress on the wire chambers. Wires for data aquisition has been mostly connected to TDCs. Powers has been applied and preliminary signals have been measured. Data taking for the wire chamber must be prepared soon. Work on the wire chambers is planned to be completed in the next 2 to 3 weeks at which point it will be moved into the hall. At this point analysis must be done to determine the operational voltage for high rates to get the most gain. Bogdan reported construction of the lead-glass calorimeter is going well. 50% of blocks have been installed and tested. Completion should be towards the end of this week. Work will continue on CMU detectors next week. Cage for BigBite detectors will be arriving 3/15 at which point it may start being loaded with detectors. End 3:26
