EVENTS

16:00 Shift started normally. We are taking production data.
Current run number is #8805.
16:08 Stopped run #8805 and started run #8806.
17:05 People from Accelerator called, and let us know, that they
changed the Prebuncher Amplitude in the Injector from 2.7keV
to 2.0 keV. They believe that this should solve the problem
with two peaks in the BPMy, although they still don't
understand the problem completely. They will leave it like
this during the night and dig again into the problem
tommorow morning.
17:14 Stopped run #8806 and started #8807
17:30 BPM histograms look better now (after the prebuncher fix).
The double peak in BPMy is gone.
18:18 Stopped run #8807.
18:19 There was no beam for about 10min. MCC called and told us,
that they have problem with a gun and that they should be
back in approx. 10 min.
18:43 MCC called us to let us know, that they are bringing CW
beam back.
18:45 Beam is back. We started run #8808
19:48 Stopped run #8808 and started #8809
20:45 Stopped run #8809 and started #8810. End-of-run script for
run 8809 is missing. 8809 was a normal production run. We
collected approx. 900k of events. Run was approx 1h long
and it stopped normally. We could not find any good reason
why end-of-run script is missing for this run.
21:31 No beam. MCC called and let us know that they will be down
for a while, because they are having problems with the gun.
They are paging experts in to fix the problem. They told
us, that they will be down for at least 15min. Run
#8810 was stopped earlier.
21:58 Beam is back. We have started run #8811
22:08 Q3 magnet tripped. The current in the magnet went to zero.
In the Magnet Controls window we noticed a interlock fault.
We believe that the interlock was caused by the fluctuation
in the He level. The level dropped to the red region for a
second and interlocked the magnet. We were able to reset
the controls. First we ramped the current up to 1600A. We
stayed there for 2min. Then we set it back to its production
setting of 741.0A. Because of this problem we had to stop
run #8811.
22:27 Started run #8812
23:28 Stopped run #8812 and started #8813.
23:55 Run 8813 passed to Owl shift.
