    EVENTS

    16:00 At the beginning of the shift we were in Controlled access.
    People were in the Hall, changing the configuration of the
    experiment.

    16:09 Julie Roche called and let us know, that she is moving
    spectrometer to 40deg.

    16:25 HRS-L is set to positive polarity. We are ramping up the
    current in the magnets. Q2 and Q3 need to be cycled.

    16:32 Everybody is out of the hall. We are going to Beam permit

    16:40 Receiving tunne beam on empty target.

    16:43 Asked MCC to set BPMs to the correct values. We also asked
    for 5uA beam, on empty target

    16:52 BPMs are where they should be: 0.0 in both directions.
    Asked MCC to do the HARP scan.

    17:00 Harp scan is done and results are within the specified
    limits (0.2 +/- 0.1)

    17:05 Masked the motion and moved the target to LH2 (Loop2)

    17:11 Asked for 2uA beam, No raster. Started collecting data
    First run that we have taken is #8842.

    17:55 Per the request of the run coordinator, we increased
    the J/T valve setting on loop 2 by two steps (2%) to
    increase the reserve heater power to >50 W.

    18:20 MCC called to let us know, that they did some Helicity
    modifications to HallC. We let them know, that these changes
    do not affect our data tonight, because we are taking
    calibration data (elastics).

    18:30 When doing replay experts realized that during the polarity
    change they forgot to take Cherenkov out of the trigger.
    Therefore we were collecting useless data i.e. run #8842 is
    JUNK.

    18:35 MCC did some more helicity changes for Hall-C.

    18:38 Alex Camsonne came in to fix the trigger. Compton is being
    turned on.

    18:58 Trigger is changed. Started run #8843

    20:00 Ready for new elastic setting. Momentum will be changed to
    p=2.131GeV/c. First need to cycle Q2 and Q3 magnets. We
    set the current on these two to 1600A.

    20:16 HRS-L was moved to new angle of 37.858deg. Floor mark = 38.0
    Vernier = 6.8

    20:21 HRS-L successfuly set to new momentum p=2.131GeV/c.

    20:25 Tried to start new run #8844, but coda crash. Had to
    restart coda. Now it works. New run is #8845. Run #8844 is
    JUNK!

    21:35 The janitor who was vacuuming the floor in the middle-room
    hit and detached two cables with the hose. These cables were
    connected to the 200uA DC output on 10kHz DC Converter unit.
    The two cables are labeled "Analog-output" and "NEMAL 10NS".
    We quickly reconnected these two cables. We could not find
    where these two cables lead and if they are vital or not.
    This happened during run #8846.

    21:56 Ended run #8846. Moving to new HRS-L setting: p = 2.245GeV/c
    thetaL = 36.3deg. Magnets Q2 and Q3 are being cycled for the
    new momentum setting.

    22:07 HRS-L was moved to new angle of 36.3deg; Floor mark = 36.5;
    Vernier mark = -3.6

    22:10 HRS-L successfuly set to new momentum seting. Started taking
    data again. New run is #8847.


    22:16 MCC did some more helicity changes for Hall-C.
