    keyword=Owl shift summary

    Owl shift was smooth production data taking with one exception: from about 1 am-6 am, the IOC for the DVCS calorimeter ADC crate was frozen. Unfortunately, I did not detect this condition for several hours. Hopefully, this condition will not affect the quality of the data taken during this shift. When I did notice the problem, it took me several minutes to locate the instructions for reboot and to execute a reboot. At the same time, however, I inadvertently also rebooted the DVCS HV crates, resulting in the DVCS calo HVs being turned off briefly while taking data. This HV off condition only affected the last few minutes of run 8936. Judging from the online analysis histograms, the data quality was not affected by the IOC being frozen, but only the experts can ultimately decide that.

    Here is the list of runs affected by the frozen IOC, either at the start-of-run, end-of-run, or both:

    8934
    8935
    8936
    8937
    8938

    The condition is totally cleared starting at run 8939.
