16:00 Shift begins fixing BTA errors caused by CODA and BTA not playing nicely with each other apparently due to a temporary fix needed to compensate for MSS downtime issues. We are instructed to be mindful of the DAQ running and keep BTA accordingly. Current DVCS run # 9771 and Compton run # 24659. Otherwise, we're running the LH2 target with 3.5 uA beam current. Beam positions are within acceptable limits at the start of the shift.
17:30 Noticed Compton rate had died. It had been dead for about 30-40 minutes (my bad). Attempted to reboot Compton CODA, and EB6 failed to download. Attempted a second CODA reboot. CODA reboot was unsuccessful at recovering. The comlaint seems to be that ER1 will not reboot. Paged Alexandre.
18:48 Just for kicks, at Carlos suggestion, we rebooted ROC6 (Compton)--no dice. ER is still not responding.
18:59 Compton problem temporarily solved...use coda_er -n ER1 to get the event recorder back up and running. It is unclear (to me) why the coda reboot doesn't do this! But now we know.
19:33 We've had a few gas panel alarms, but they seem to be transient.
22:20 Compton HV tripped off. Successfully reset.
22:53 Compton HV tripped off a second time. Successfully reset. Compton seems to have gotten snippy about beam trips. JP also called about the fan speed. He reset the speed to 24% on loop 1 (deuterium) and left a slightly convoluted message about clearing the communication protocol. We think we've got the order of operations in the note, but JP should check to be sure.
23:21 Compton rates "flat-lined". Tried restarting "/bob/scalchk" script. That seems successful. Compton's been a bit of a pain tonight!
23:52 Shift ends with DVCS run 9779 in progress and Compton run 24672 just started. The compton event recorder still seems to be having issues. It's currently claiming it's "backed up" as in--logjam.
