keyword=Swing Shift Summary
Begin shift in Controlled Access. Hall A workers finished their work (as indicated in Day Shift summary); waiting for MCC people (they were going to reboot Harp IOC, if they could locate it).
16:53 - beam back ... waiting for marching orders from Run Coordinator (group is meeting and deciding upon plan, now knowing that Harp isn't fixed).
16:58 - 17:08: beam away again (MCC has to reset injector; Hall C was doing a test, and now is ready to be reset to original state).
17:08 - 17:52: Alex Cansomme working with MCC to do BCM calibration with Tungsten calorimeter.
(in meantime, setting HRS momentum for C elastics @ central delta=0%)
17:52 - 18:13 ... waiting for HRS_R dipole to finish setting.
--------------------------------------------------------
Start current scan (@ C elastic 0%, slow raster off):
1 uA: (fast raster OFF)
Runs 2036/21136 - 18:13 - 18:32 << OOPS: Target OUT! >>
Runs 2037/21137 - 18:32 - 18:34 (just a short one for a test)
1 uA: (fast raster ON, 2x2 @ MCC)
Runs 2038/21138 - 18:36 - 18:55 << OOPS: Target OUT! >>
100 nA: (fast raster ON, 2x2 @ MCC)
Runs 2039/21139 - 19:02 - 19:45 (.47M/.40M) << OOPS: Target OUT >>
Runs 2040/21140 - 19:46 - 20:30 (.51M/.44M) << OOPS: Target OUT >>
100 nA: (fast raster OFF)
Runs 2041/21141 - 20:32 - 20:54 << OOPS: Target OUT >>
-----------------------------------------------------------
Ok...realized at 20:54 that the C target as OUT!! ... TV camera is now crummy, so hard to tell from camera ... but, indeed, target came out during Alexandre's BCM calibration point, and we hadn't put it back in.
-----------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
Now for real (I'm going to say the Empty target runs are still important for getting accurate C elastic cross sections for this current scan..):
100 nA: (fast raster OFF)
Runs 2042/21142 - 21:00 - 21:19 <1.05M/0.97M>
Runs 2043/21143 - 21:20 - 21:30 <1.0M/1.3M>
100 nA: (fast raster ON)
Runs 2044/21144 - 21:33 - 21:59 <2.2M/3.3M>
---------------------------------------
1 uA: (fast raster ON)
Runs 2045/21145 - 22:01 - 22:03 (dead-time too high; change prescale)
Runs 2048/21146 - 22:07 - 22:20 <1.7M/3.0M>
(left Runs 2046/2047 junk - CODA needed to be rebooted)
------------
22:20 Called for Controlled Access for Stony Brook detector
23:00 Back up, beam back - going for 50 nA.
----------------------------------------
50 nA: (fast raster ON)
Runs 2049/21147 - 23:03 - 23:26 (~1M events each)
50 nA: (fast raster OFF)
Runs 2050/21148 - 23:28 - 23:50
-----------------------------------------
Setting up now to go back to Run Plan "V. Carbon Inelastic Spectrum and False Asymmetry": set for Setting #15 on Left and #16 on Right (so Right Arm settles while Left Arm measures at #15).
