Hall A was encountered with a fire alarm at about 13:17. The alarm system show that the source was from the south wall. Ed, Jack, Heidi and other technicians went down to hall to check and found out that it was due to a failure of the air compressor blowing the Hall A dump. Magnetic IOC (iocha2, 4, 9, 10 and 11) were down since they are share the dame breaker as the VESDA system.

A restricted access was requested to blow the air faster in the hall. During the time, technician support from the company came down to the hall to diagnose the compressor. He was not able to fix it since we have no parts available. We plan to fix it tomorrow during beam study.

Technicians recover the IOCs and we closes the hall at about 17:30.

There will be a 12-hour beam study tomorrow(Apr 3rd), starting from 8:30. Hall will be in controlled access. We want to minimize the number of person to access the hall. If you really want to get into there, you have to inform the RC.
