keyword=New Moller Tasks to Prevent Beam Induced Quenches

To avoid another beam induced quench during Moller tuning, the shift workers and MCC should watch the flow from the magnet, EPICS variable haFI91115. The target ioc is "iocha13".

Unless the target magnet is filling (when the flow is very high), this flow should read 0, with occasional bumps to around 10 slpm every few minutes as a check value opens and closes. If the flow exceeds about 50 slpm while tuning beam, the beam tuner should stop and wait for the magnet flow to go back down.

So, Mollers now require new action by 3 parties: both MCC and the shift workers should watch the magnet flow during tuning to anticipate and prevent beam induced quenches. To prevent the need for a fill during this time (which pegs the flow so small changes are overwhelmed), the target operator or expert needs to induce a magnet fill before tuning. This can be done by setting the minimum magnet level used by the batch fill process to above the current value.
