Concluding Notes, Parity Mtg 18 May
Here are Bob's notes from the conclusion of the Parity Meeting 18 May 2007. They mainly deal with the upcoming test beam.
PLAN for TEST RUN : early Jan 2008
- Hall A and C Interaction.
- Hall C running Gep at high current (50 uA).
- Need source setup. (Kent, Riad, et.al.).
- Lumi Studies
- Flip rates 30, 250, possibly others. And oversampling.
- Replace / re-design PMTS ? Long lead item !
- Get 18-bit ADC ready (Bob, Brian).
- Make sure dithering works (Kent)
- Check PREX detector in Moller Setup (Piotr, KK, Eugene)
- Compton Integrating DAQ (Bob, Sirish, Gregg, Alexandre)
- FADCs with accumulators. DAQ moved into Hall A this summer (Bob, et.al.)
- New crystal ? Long lead item !
- 12-stage PMT ? Long lead item !
- Test cavities at low current (Musson, Bob)
- Get receivers from G0 expt. Install in Hall A this summer.
- New firmware for low-current running installed.
- Lead target tests
- PREX target at 50+ uA. (Final design assembly test)
- Will also run e06007 lead experiment for about 1 week.
LONG-TERM SCHEDULE
- Beam test Jan 2008 (see above).
- Begin Moller installation in Jan 2008.
- Compton must be ready Aug 1, 2008. Try to test earlier, during He3.
- Septum takes a year, should start this Fall.
- HAPPEX-III or PREX in Feb 2009.
