Charge Monitor Operating Directions

General Overview
The Charge Monitor is composed of a Parametric Current Transformer
(also refered as Unser Monitor) surrounded by two resonnant cavities
(also called BCMs for Beam Current Monitors).
To run the control interface for the charge monitor:
- Logon on the hac computer (account hacuser, for password
ask the run coordinator) and type HAC_hp if you are on HP machine or
HAC_xt if you are on X terminal.
- Startup display will show up:
It summaries information about all the magnets, detectors and instruments.
To get to the Current Monitor screen, click on the BCM
button. The following screen will appear:
Calibration Instructions
- From the Hall A BCM screen, pull the Calibration screen:
- Call the accelerator people and organize the BCM calibration.
- Once they are ready to perform the calibration cycle, press
START button
- Once they are done with the cycle, press STOP button:
the two coefficients and their standard deviations should update.
