Meeting held at JLab in room 16/84 from 10am to 12am with:
Bogdan, Jeff, Charles, Tom, Eugene, Albert, Artush, Clive and Franck

    Report

    • RTV cookie/mold: The 25-cookie mold table is finished. You can have a look at the setup on one of the slides used during the collaboration meeting (picture taken by Jeff).

    •
    • Cooling system: Tom will probably have the 5x5-array cooling system ready by wednesday next week. There have been delays due to some account that had to be setup with ODU.

    •
    • Parts ordering: Artush gave me his first sketches of all the mechanical parts including the socket, the Al and Ti flanges and the holding ring, I'm going to hand them over to Larry Munk so he can start having price estimates.

    •
    • Circuit board: The circuit boards will be available at the end of the week. We can start checking the circuit board by the beginning of next week. Once all that is done, I'll hand a floppy disk with the corresponding ACCEL file to Chris Cuevas so he can start getting price estimates. We have to move pretty fast now so we can do most of the soldering this summer.

    •
    • 9-block prototype: The 9-block protype is in the Moller apparatus. Eugene told us he had a first estimate of the energy resolution, something about 10%/sqrt(E), about twice worse than for a clear block. He will tell us more about it next week.

    •
    • Lucite/Scintillator test: Bogdan told us he observed a factor 2 less counting rate in the lucite than in the scintillator. Both detectors are sitting at 35 degrees from the beam line.

    •
    • Pb-glass blocks/PMTs: 225 blocks and 200 phototubes sit in the EEL building now ! As soon as we got the shelves and everything to stock them, we'll get them out of the boxes.

    •
    • Financing: Kees has agreed for the full funding of the ADCs and TDCs we need for the experiment. That's a very good news.
