Meeting held at JLab in room 16/84 from 10am to 12am with:
Jeff, Sue, Bogdan, Eugene, and Franck

    Report

    • RTV cookie/mold: Albert has ordered a "test" mold in Aluminum to test several meniscus radius. It will hopefully be there next week.

    •
    • Parts ordering: Updated drawings have been given to Larry Munk for requisition. It ends up costing about $75'000, definitely more than we expected.

    •
    • Circuit board/Components: We have received the second batch of circuit boards: 750 pieces. Albert has checked them, they seem just fine.

    •
    • Monitoring system: I gave the JLab Fed-Ex number to SLAC so we can receive the Clermont-Ferrand Xenon lamp soon.

    •
    • Calorimeter ration: Sue has run a montecarlo to dig out the size ratio we should take to maximize our counting rates. A very preliminary result is that the ratio of the height to the width is close to 2. We will of course check this result again to be sure.

    •
    • Tubes cutting: Clive, supervised by Jeff has finished cutting the tubes (both long and short ones). However, 500 of the small tubes are 1/8" too small. We can either had a ring or cut 500 more. We'll ahve to discuss the price.

    •
    • Tube anodizing: The tube anodizing costs $1.97 each for the long ones, a little less for the small ones. The problem is that the socket doesn't fit anymore if we anodize the small tube, unless we don't anodize one side of the tube to put the socket in.

    •
    • Connectors: Eugene thinks that we should go and buy lemo connectors if we have the money, because simpler connectors would need some extra sticky tape to hold well enough. Maybe we can go for lemos for the signal connector and some different kind for HV. We have to decide soon.
