Meeting held at JLab in room 16/84 from 10am to 12am with:
Jeff, David, Bogdan, Steve, Albert and Franck

    Report

    • RTV cookie/mold: The new "test" mold is ready but hasn't been tested yet.

    •
    • Project "16": 16 dividers are ready, so are the blocks with Titanium flanges. The cabling is ready too. We don't have cookies for those so we'll use optical grease for the moment. Basicaly, project "16" is in good shape [I remind you it's the one that's supposed to go in the Moller apparatus so we can test the energy resolution with brand new blocks and new bases].

    •
    • Circuit board/Components soldering: The ODU team has soldered about 100 circuit boards (in 5 days). At that rate, it will be finished about when the classes start again, which is very good.

    •
    • Monitoring system: I just received the Clermont-Ferrand Xenon lamps (there are two of them). We can start working on the gain monitoring system with those light sources.

    •
    • Calorimeter ratio: It seems Sue didn't take a gamma energy spectrum but a single energy, and that might be the reason why the ratio is so big. She will work some more on that.

    •
    • UV healing scheme: David Brown gave a long talk about the UV healing of the damaged lead glass blocks. A report will shortly be available. The main conclusion is that it is possible to heal the blocks, from the front face (without dismentling everything) with roughly a $15'000 system including UV lamps that are powerful enough. It would take about 12 hours with this scheme to heal most of the damage. This sounds very reasonnable.
