Abstract for JLAB Technical Note 01-003

At Gent (Dec. 1-3, 1999) we discussed on how to incorporate realistic beam profiles (beamx, beamy) in the simulation. This memo summarizes what has been proposed: to use flat beam profiles to generate the simulated events, and afterwards to use these events with a weight taking into account experimental shapes. This paper is the sum of two independent memos from Clermont and Gent, which have been simply joined together. They correspond to Parts I and II.
