A systematic series of simulations was performed using MCEEP at the request of the spokespersons to study the experimental acceptances.  The results of these simulations are presented through the various links below.  While not posted, the complete simulation archives are also available.

• missing energy simulations - were carried out to determine the location of the 2bbu peak relative to the shoulder on the low energy side of the missing energy acceptance.  For central kinematics, the 2bbu will be in the center of this acceptance, effectively "wasting" 50% of the spectrometer aperture.  The idea, in general, was to vary the HRSh field for the backward angle electron kinematics such that the location of the 2bbu was moved as far as possible from the center of the missing energy acceptance while still keeping it as close as possible to the plateau.  This allows for the most efficient use of the spectrometers.

 
• phase space overlaps - were generated for all the linked kinematical points using the HRSh fields set with the method outlined above.  Because the structure function separations require shared phase space between the various settings, it is important to optimize the overlap.  Both energy transfer/momentum transfer and missing energy/missing momentum phase space plots are available.

 
• rate and cross section tables for the 2bbu and continuum - were extracted from the simulations.  The tables include both raw values due to the full spectrometer acceptances as well as cut values which effectively match energy and momentum transfer between backward and forward angle electron settings.
