RCS Readiness Review
The Real Compton Scattering
experiment E-99-114 is tentatively scheduled to run in November, 2001. The documents attached
have been collected for the readiness review of the experiment, taken place in March, 2001.

- Photograph: calorimeter matrix, viewed from the rear, during the PM holders installation.
- Photograph: calorimeter modules, viewed from the rear. The titanium flanges are used
to attach the PM holders.
- Photograph: calorimeter frontal face, with the gain monitoring lucite plane and mask installed.
To the top and the bootom of the lucite plate the fibers are attached.
- Photograph: the 337nm nitrogen laser used for the gain monitoring system.
A remotely controlled wheel with several light attenuators is used to adjust the laser light intensity.
The wave length shifter
is reemitting the light isotropically at about 425nm. This visible light is distributed by the plastic fibers to the lucite plane
in front of the lead glass modules.
