Accessing Terminal Servers with X-Terminals

Any of these ports may be accessed with any NCD X-terminal. The X-terminal need not be logged on to a particular computer.

1.
Make sure the ``NCD user services'' menu bar is on the screen by pressing Alt-F3 or bringing it to the foreground if it is an icon.
2.
Pull down the ``Terminals'' menu and select ``LAT''.
3.
Browse for the desired service (i.e. ``HAC5'' for electron arm HV control RS232 interface.)
4.
Type in the password and click ``OK''. There is a single password common to all the ports that will be given to shift leaders.

NOTE: If the terminals servers have experienced a power outage, some of the X-terminals may forget about the above servers; in that case reboot the X-terminal in the ``NCD user services'' menu.
