When working on any of the power supplies, the
responsible people will follow the guidelines in the electrical safety chapter
of the `` TJNAF EHS Manual." Further references which should be consulted
before power supply maintenance or operations are attempted are the operating
procedure provided by the manufacturer (Danfysik for Q1's, Siemens for Q2/Q3's and
Dynapower for the Dioples) and the simplified magnet power supply maintenance procedure.
Copies
of these documents are included in this package. The cabinet doors for all HRS magnet power
supplies are locked and the keys are held by M. Stevens and C. de Jager.
The cabinet doors for the HRS power supplies are interlocked. There are also
crash buttons in the counting house which are interlocked with a key (one for
each spectrometer). When the buttons are depressed, i.e. - they are in crash
mode, the power
supplies cannot be energized. The keys to the crash buttons are controlled by
M. Stevens and C. de Jager.
