Polarization Measurement
- 1.
- Make a note in the logbook of the target angle on the scale,
seen with the TV camera.
- 2.
- Take 6 runs of data with the given angle, each run of about 20-30k
events (30k at GeV).
- 3.
- Ask the MCC to turn the target to 38 units
and make a note of the angle on the scale.
- 4.
- Take 2 runs of data with the given angle, each run of about 15k events.
- 5.
- Ask the MCC to turn the target to 76 units
and make a note of the angle on the scale.
- 6.
- Take 6 runs of data with the given angle, each run of about 20-30k
events (30k at GeV).
- 7.
- Analyze the data
- 1.
- exec run run=???? and
- 2.
- exec asymp run=???? angl=tang, for each RUN,
is the target angle observed on the scale.
- 3.
- call prunpri.f(9916,9950), print a table
with the results for a given range of runs.
- 4.
- shell cp runs.tab #<3419#>moller/public_html/tab/run.tab.9916-9950,
copy the table to a database.
- 5.
- exec pol_sum run1=9916 run2=9950, average the results
for this measurement.
