(Rutgers University College of W&M and Norfolk State university)

    Structure:
      Front Chambers:
    each has 3 "u"& 3 "v" planes; 130 cm x 52 cm, 170 straws/plane,
    chambers are seperated by 114cm.
      Carbon Analyzer:
5 plates: 23, 16, 8, 4, 2 cm thick; each plate is divided into two doors,
there is remote control of the door position.
      Rear Chambers:
    chamber 3 has 2 "u", 2 "v" & 2 "x" planes; 2.7 m x 1.2 m,
    240 straws/plane,
    chamber 4 has 3 "u" & 3 "v" planes; 3.0 m x 1.4 m, 272 straws/plane,
chambers are seperated by 38 cm.
Angular resolution better than 1 mrad, accepts scattering angles of at least 20o.

    Analysing power:
Calibration of polarized p 12C scattering was done at Saclay up to 2.4 GeV.
      Figure of merit is about 1 x 10-2 at 0.2 GeV and 3 x 10 -3 at 2 GeV for protons.
False asymmetry will be less than about 5 x 10-3.
