keyword=EPR from Fiber couplerI set up the EPR fiber coupler system for longitudinal measurements. I used the new coupler mount that Susan Esp designed. It was fairly easy to align the laser light using this design. I also used the 1mm diameter fiber. The fiber actually tripled the amount of laser light detected by the photodiode (~15 mV compared to 5 mV). A decent improvement. Figure 1 shows the EPR measurement with light from the fiber. Using Patricia's calibration constant for EPR, the polarization is about 27.3%. I still would like to test the coupler in transverse to make sure things also work there.
