adaql2 - DAQ

Never run any application on adaql2 except DAQ, even using ssh to other computers
CODA runcontrol
  • Configure, Download, Start, End run (kcoda, startcoda)
  • Select the GEN configuration
  • Watch download process
  • Watch the ROCs
  • Check the event rate (~600 Hz at 8 µA with ³He target)
  • Check the correspondence of run numbers in the datamon(DMON) and in the CODA runcontrol
  • Watch the dead time (~12-15% at 8 µA with ³He target)
  • Check prescale values (100000,80,1 for production).
  • After you start new run with GEN DAQ
    • Start a new run with HAPPEX DAQ on adaql1
    • Check raster size with spot++ on adaql1
    • Check the charge asymmetry with qasy on adaql1
    • Check detectors with onlineGUI
Thresholds
  • Check thresholds ( 0: -320, 1: -25, 2: -145 for production)
  • ROCs
  • Check terminals connected to ROCs.
  • How to reboot, troubleshoot and check ROC status?
  • adaql1 - DAQ

    HAPPEX DAQ
    • Configure, Download, Start, End run (kcoda, startcoda)
    • Watch download process
    • Watch the ROCs
    • Monitor the charge asymmetry. It should be <100ppm.
    onlineGUI
    • Start the onlineGUI (At least 15000 events required in CODA file.)
    • Monitor the detectors.
    spot++
    • Start spot++ to check the raster.
    • Each raster change should be logged using halog.
    qasy
    • Start qasy to monitor charge asymmetry

    hacsbc2 - Controls

    T2 rate
    • Start EPICS stripchart of T2
    • Monitor for spikes.
    BB_HV
    • Start hvs (High Voltage Control Tool).
    • Monitor high Voltages.
    • Monitor BB DC leakage currents.
      Approximate DC leakage currents
