Aidan's analysis update for Oct 17, 2007 DNP 2007 Presented a talk at DNP 2007 (posted the slides to the Wiki) (aside: 10 minutes is not enough time to talk about anything) Also went to the GPD workshop before, and I highly recommend Matthias Burkardt's talk. Pion Asymmetry (page numbers refer to slides in pion_update.pdf) -- After last meeting, ran the asymmetry for kin. 3. The asymmetry is much smaller, and the uncertainty is roughly the same. On page 3. -- A recommendation from Bogdan: look at asymmetry vs. momentum for kin 4 and see if there is any correlation. Suspicion: asymmetry is larger at higher momentum. On page 5. -- Saw increased asymmetry at higher momentum, so looked at a kin3 to see if the same occured for kin3. On page 6. --For both asymmetries, used a subset -- all runs in same beam 1/2 wave plate and target configurations. --Put a cut around asymmetry "bump" (page 7), and ran asymmetry (page 8 and 9) --Using same cut, added charge asymmetry correction (using scalars) (page 10 and 11) Upcoming -- Pion asymmetry suggestions/uses? -- GEn analysis (want kin. 4 point before Rob leaves)
