Status update: 1) Working on pion asymmetry 2) Supporting Columb Sum Rule 3) Target ladder information to Rob 1) Pion Asymmetry Using the following cuts: i) PID: energy between 125 and 425 ii) position: cut on vertex Z (beam direction) +/- 18cm (target = +/- 20cm) iii) T2s only Got a very small number of events: for asymmetry of 0.97%, got an uncertainty of 1.51% iv) Per Rob, added in random T3s, now uncertianty is closer to 0.64% However, do not get consistent results: run A 4490 3.685% ± 0.638% 4494 1.405% ± 0.641% 4585 0.264% ± 0.693% Need to do many runs and look at consistency (maybe there is something wierd abiout these 3 runs). Would particularly like to look at one day and compare to NMR results. Have already checked that cuts are consistently ok across runs. 2) Supporting CSR: mostly weekends, but some weekdays, polishing (and soon testing) NaI blocks. 3) Target Ladder information; i) see file "target_ladder.pdf" ii) material for lader is Macor (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macor), with a density of 2.52 g/cm^3 iii) material for gusset is High temp mica, density 2.77cm^3 iv) protons from each position (e.g. polarized target, foils, empty) pass thorugh different material v) protons from *foils* passes through ladder and gussets Moving forward (for next meeting): 1) finish pion asymmetry 2) continue helping CSR 3) \kappa_0 measurement plan (p.s. Todd's student pass qual. and he(Todd) hired a new tech.) 4) DNP talk
