My highlights for the last two weeks are:

1) progress on asymmetry (cut study)
2) Q_\perp investigation
3) preliminary MC study
4) corrections to p/n ratio write-up

1) Progress on Asymmetry
   It's my goal to get a decent asymmetry for kin 4 by the end of the month (before annual review).  My progress on this has been by working through Rob's T->Draw based code (quasi-elastics.C).  I am looking at every variable and making my own list of cuts.  I have already looked into how I can add my own cuts into Rob's QE.C code.  The files in this folder are what I am basing my cuts on (except compare_res.C).

Future: look into timing/W background, selection of neutral particle, and run through a selection of runs.

2) Q_\perp  Bogdan has suggested that in addition to P_perp (the missing momentum in the direction perpendicular to the q-vector) that I also look into Q_\perp, a similar variable defined as Q*sin(angle between q and p).  So far, I have not seen an advantage to this variable -- I keep getting a lot of zeroes.  I will look a little further to confirm that I am forming the angle correctly (suspect this is not 100% correct) and may try Q*tan(angle) to see if this improves matters.

3) MC study.  I have generated trees with events randomly distributed in electron momentum, in plane and out of plane angle and hadron momentum, in plane and out of plane angle.  Each variable is randomly distributed over their relevant acceptances.  Need to talk to Bogdan about the next step (perhaps try to correlate electron and hadron momentum?)

4) corrections to p/n ratio write-up.  Ongoing -- producing plot with effect of cuts using resolution and without resolution is very slow going, hopefully done soon. Need to get Sergey's code to include effect for calculated p/n ratio.  Preliminary comparision in folder as compare_res.ps

Ongoing questions:

1) Kin 4 replay.  Am I the only one working on kin 4 now?  Can we remove old kin 4 replay (say, pass1) and re-run?  I would like to start replaying as soon as possible.
