Update for Feb 11, 2009 1) Working on Kin 2. Right now, I have a large discrepancy between the results for kin 2a and kin 2b. Raw asymmetries are within statistical errors of each other, But they have different dilution factors (especially 3He polarization). For the proton/neutron conversion and the nitrogen dilution, I used nitrogen runs from kin 2b for both data sets. Hope to resolve them and present them to the collaboration for next meeting. 2) Will visit Misak Sargsian during the first weekend in March. This will give us the final state interactions for our kinematics. Hope to have them wrapped up in those 3 days. 3) Work on thesis. Short Term Projects: 1) Apply for travel money from William and Mary (due this Friday at 4pm) 2) Other sources of travel money? 3) Correct discrepancy between kin 2 data sets -- rechecking run information, which has already narrowed the gap. Plan to find values for asymmetry and dilutions using best runs from both sets first.
