Dear Kees: This is my Hall A run coordinator report for E03-101 covering the week from the afternoon of Wednesday, June 13 until Wednesday, June 20 2007. The outgoing run coordinator was Brad Sawatzky, incoming is Xiaodong Jiang. After the Hall C pass change and beam studies on Wednesday we continued taking radiator-in and radiator-out production data on 3He until Saturday morning with a 3.1 GeV electron beam. After the energy change and Hall A pass change from three to four passes we started production data at 4.1 GeV Saturday evening. We stayed at that energy for the rest of my term. For both energies supplemental data on 12C were taken whenever our primary objectives were met. This allowed us to efficiently utilize spare time between scheduled energy changes. During (approximately) this week the Hall availability was 98%. The week passed without any major downtime. The two most noticeable incidences required a controlled access. In both cases we experiment resumed data taking within about 45 min. These incidences were a trip of the HRS-R Q1 magnet and the re-pressurizing of the 3He target. The latter was needed after a target IOC reboot left the target system in a state with incorrect valve setting allowing 3He to slowly go from the target cell back into the 3He tank. The accelerator delivered stable beam. I am not aware of pending problems. The experiment schedule is now being finalized. All the best, Steffen
