Things to do during switchover, including person in charge, [estimated time], and planned time. Note: almost all items can be moved earlier or later depending on how fast we proceed. Please keep in contact with others and the RC to facilitate your work.

Day (-7) - Day 0, 10/21-10/28

Setup Shift Guide, organize webpage - Xiaochao, with help from others.
Setup shift checklist and runsheets - Xiaochao.
Software setup (person in charge should also write how-to's for shift-takers and offliners)

Set up Podd Analysis framework - Ramesh, Vince, Jin, Kai.

include online GUI from standard HRS experiments and our June test run GUIs, right?
in-shift prompt analysis should include PID analysis to check detector performance (such as electron efficiency and pion rejection of lead glass as functions of dispersive position x, and of Gas cherenkov as a whole).

Set up Pan Analysis framework, with Pan(da-pen)guin - Bob, Mark, Xiaoyan, Kai

setup blinding (Kent and Mark know how to do it).

Update EPICS and runstart/stop scripts for both DAQs - Bob, Rupesh.
Followup on blinding - Xiaochao in contact with Kent and Mark.
WAC analysis - Bob, with help from Mark.

Day 1, 10/29, Thursday

De-install HAPPEX detector from both left and right arms - Dustin, Rupesh.
Install S1, gas cherenkov, lead glass on Left arm - Techs, with help from Ramesh and Dustin [expect to finish in one day]
Warm up target - Dave Meekins
Compton work in parallel - Michel, Alexandre
The following can be done on Right arm in parallel:

Understand BCM cabling & sources of noise - Xiaoyan, Kai
FADC: Timing w/ cosmics, put in physical signals - Kai, with help from Ramesh

Day 2, 10/30, Friday

Cannot install right arm detectors today because the crane is broken;
Install cables for lead glass, cherenkov and S1 on the Left arm - Ramesh, Xiaoyan, Kai, Diancheng
Setup triggers for Left arm - Ramesh
The following can be done as soon as left arm is all set:

Left HRS pvdis DAQ checkout, comic runs, check all fbTDC and scaler outputs - Ramesh, Xiaochao
Left HRS detector checkout, comic runs - Vince, Jin
Establish correspondance between ADC channel and discriminator thresholds for left arm - Kai, Ramesh

The following can be done on Left arm in parallel:

Understand BCM cabling & sources of noise - Xiaoyan, Kai
FADC: Timing w/ cosmics, put in physical signals - Kai, with help from Ramesh

Switch target loop 3 from hydrogen to deuterium, switch Al dummy target - Dave Meekins
Compton work in parallel

Day 3, 10/31, Saturday
- Fix crane, bogies for the spectrometer - Techs;
- close up target chamber - Techs;
- Finish left arm and prepare for cosmic tests.
- Prepare trigger on right arm
- Techs fix the crane by 5pm
Day 4, 11/01, Sunday
- continue left arm checkout and software work;
Day 5, 11/02, Monday

Install S1, gas cherenkov, lead glass on Right arm - Techs with help from Dustin [expect to finish in two days]
Following detector installation, install cables for lead glass, cherenkov and S1 on the Right arm - Ramesh, Xiaoyan, Kai, Diancheng
continue left arm checkout:

Left HRS pvdis DAQ checkout, comic runs, check all fbTDC and scaler outputs - Ramesh, Xiaochao

Left HRS detector checkout, comic runs - Vince, Jin
Establish correspondance between ADC channel and discriminator thresholds for left arm - Kai, Ramesh

start/continue other checkout, on both HRS:

Some pulser test to make sure all connections are okay (? really, all connections? that will take years) - Ramesh with help from Diancheng and other students
Understand BCM cabling & sources of noise - Xiaoyan, Kai
FADC: Timing w/ cosmics, put in physical signals - Kai, with help from Ramesh

Day 6, 11/3, Tuesday

Continue detector installation on Right arm - Techs
Continue installing cables for lead glass, cherenkov and S1 on the Right arm - Ramesh, Xiaoyan, Kai, Diancheng
The following should be done as soon as Right arm is all set:

Right HRS pvdis DAQ checkout, comic runs, check all fbTDC and scaler outputs (mostly double-check, since these were working before) - Ramesh, Xiaochao

Right HRS detector checkout, comic runs - Vince, Jin
Double check correspondance between ADC channel and discriminator thresholds for Right arm, compare with numbers from June as shown here - Kai, Ramesh

If this is the last day, then should do the following in parallel of items above:

Cool down target (day shift) - Dave Meekins
Finish trigger setup for Right arm (mostly double-checking) - Ramesh
Setup PVDIS discriminator threshold, check signal widths - Ramesh and students.
Survey of spectrometer angles - Ed in contact with survey group
wrap up everything, prepare for Hall lock down!
Beam tune starting Tuesday evening

Day 7, 11/4, Wednesday (possible)

Finish cable installation and cosmic/detector checkout on Right arm - Ramesh, Xiaoyan, Kai, Diancheng

Checklist:

   remove HAPPEX detectors
   install S1, LG, Cerenkov
   Jack says he needs some experienced (postdoc) help
