The PVDIS experiment measures parity violation in Deep Inelastic Scattering.  The first step in this program is a 6 GeV Hall A experiment, E08-011 (previously called E05-007). The experiment ran in Oct-Dec 2009 and the offline analysis is actively on-going.

• This experiment was re-approved by PAC-33 for 32 days of beam time, and now called E08-011 (PAC-33 proposal: PDF, cover sheets, PAC presentation: odp, ppt, pdf)

Related 12 GeV Program:

• A 12 GeV proposal using the baseline equipment in Hall C can be found here: PDF. It was conditionally approved by PAC-32. We are planning to re-submit it in summer 2011.
• Two fully-approved major upgrades/experiments are: Moller at 11 GeV (E09-005), and SOLID at 11 GeV.
