Dear colleagues,
Here are the geant results for the resolutions for the 2 pass elastic
run.
The beam energy is 1344 MeV, 12.5 deg, 83.5 mg/cm2 carbon target,
assumptions:
horizontal angle resolution = 0.3e-3 radians
vertical angle resolution = 1.0e-3 radians
dp/p = 1.0e-4
raster correction is perfect for a 4mmx4mm raster.
target angle = 30 deg
full acceptance in angle
HRSR FWHM = 0.4 MeV, HRSL FWHM = 0.5 MeV
The attached ps file shows the superposition of the spectra. The
elastic
scattering has been kinematically corrected in the paw analysis. The
spectrum in HRSL is shifted to lower energies presumably because of the
target
angle which provides a shorter path for HRSR compared to HRSL.
HRSR is the solid line, HRSL is the dashed line.
We have Jose's elastic scattering calculations which we will
incorporate
into the paw analysis to calculate the average cross sections.
