Notes from Local Meeting June 13, 2005
This was a short meeting to go over issues related to our 2005 run.

Q2 Scanner
Piotr Decowski (Smith College) reporting
- Piotr brought 2 detectors from last year and 2 E158 scintillator detectors for counting.
- Needs space for storage and to work on detector. Will ask for it in EEL 122.
- Students arriving end of June
Helium Target
Kent Paschke reporting for Dave Meekins
- Helium cell was mounted and successfully pressure-tested.
- Knife-edge works
Source Work
- Nothing really new, but Ryan has tested the alignment procedure for the Pockel Cell
- Ready for July
New S0 Detector
Purpose: Provide unbiased trigger over entire acceptance (S0 below HAPPEX detector).
- Bryan Moffit reports that both S0 detectors are constructed, bench tested with scope.
- DAQ / analysis in EEL building in progress.
Septum Sweep Magnet
Purpose: Sweep away low-E Moller scatters, reduce heating in septum by a factor of 7.
- High current tests performed by Paul Brindza. B vs I agrees with TOSCA.
- Field map done, polarity checked.

Compton
- New Problem : A power supply broke last week. Seeking to repair or replace it now. Alternatives include using a new laser (requires a lot of work).
- Hachemi reports that he's developing the integrating method analysis. Errors are still big, trying to understand it.
Online and Prompt Analysis
- Bryan Moffit working on some new scripts.
- Bryan to include dithering and/or regression in near-prompt analysis.
Cavity Monitors
John Musson reporting.
- New electronics in the hall. Measures the position "well", except:
- Upstream signal intensity too low, position signal too high. John will investigate.
- Accelerator test plan submitted. Goal is to finalize calibration.
- Need a VME hard-reset. Bob will ask Jack Segal for it.
- Need analysis of HAPPEX and spectrometer DAQ data.
Luminosity Monitor
Linsay Glesener reporting
- Beam lumis were turned on and checked out. Looks good. See HAPLOG.
PMT Linearity
- Lisa started some tests of PMT linearity.
- Results to be posted in HAPLOG soon.
Documentation
- ESAD and COO done. Waiting on RSAD.
- Will need to update web page.
Installation and Run Plans
- Both plans needed. Kent and Bob will work on drafts.
