Notes from Local Meeting June 30, 2005
Last week Bob presented an
Installation Plan and
Run Plan.
Final versions of these will be written ASAP.
- Riad Suleiman - Continued linearity tests on HAPPEX PMTs (after Lisa was
on vacation). Good results from new setup, showing linearity on order 99.8%.
Some results here.
- Tim Holmstrom --
- Optics plan can be adapted by deleting all runs with
watercell (other runs should still be taken).
- With no third cryo loop, room for an additional extended target. We prefer
an additional +/- 12cm Ta optics target.
- Bob Michaels -- email from Eric Abkemeier: We will meet to discuss effect of
HAPPEX-He on radiation budget and decide whether the experiment can continue. So
the radiation budget question is not off the table, just delayed and _probably_
not going to be an issue.
- Kent Paschke --
- Working on Installation and Run plan documents.
- Will talk to Hall B and C about helicity board settings and dithering.
- Will check on ion chamber settings, and procedures to avoid luminosity
limits as we had last year on startup.
- Lisa Kaufman --
- Will continue work on PMT linearity tests
- Helicity magnet test plan tonight.
- Lindsay Glesener and Bryan Moffit --
- BSY cavity monitor working a little, but not well.
- Cavity monitor BCM which was saturating is no longer doing so. Maybe Musson changed the gain parameter?
- Regressed results for working cavity monitor in target region suggests better
than 1 micron precision!
- Piotr Decowski -- Working on the Qsq scanner. Kirstin is in town, most
scanner components are here. Pete will arrive on July 6.
- Bryan Moffit will try to put a list or figure of beamline components in the Counting House or on the HAPPEX web page.
Next Meeting will be Thursday, July 7, at 11 am in CC B101
