This is the current version of run plan including two days of "collaborative tests" on Wednesday and Thursday. Any comments/suggestions are welcome.

  1. Before the beam arrives
    1. Left spectrometer setting: 90 degrees, negative polarity, p0=350.6544 MeV/c (C elastic)
    2. Right spectrometer setting: 15.15 degrees, negative polarity, p0=361.5934 MeV/c (C elastic)
    3. Linearity check, calibration of Hall probes against NMR
    4. Usual checks
      1. Detector package+DAQ with cosmic run
      2. Analyzer
      3. Strip charts for EPICS variable
        1. Incluing 3C12 Hall-C arc
        2. 1C12 Hall-A arc
        3. Beam current
        4. Magnet Hall probes (left spectrometer)
    5. Beamline checkout
      1. Harp
      2. 9th dipole
    6. LEDEX radiator position check
      1. Make sure that OUTLIMIT position is clear of the beam path
  2. Collaborative Tests (Wednesday, Thursday)
    1. First beam in Hall
      1. Beam parameters
        1. Position, profile, size
          1. BPM/harp calibration
          2. OTR
        2. Raster
    2. First beam on target
      1. Put in slanted C target
      2. Detector checkout
        1. Use slanted C target
        2. Pion rejector
        3. Cerenkov
        4. VDC's
        5. S1, S2
        6. New CsI/NaI crystals
      3. Check elastic peak (both spectrometers)
        1. Peak position
        2. Adjust prescale factor for reasonable deadtime (<10%) for right arm
        3. Optics run with 7 foil C target and slanted C target
          1. Delta_p/p at -2%, 0%, +2%
        4. Take elastic data with Left spectrometer with the following targets
          1. Slanted C
          2. Slanted Fe
          3. Pb (if available)
          4. LD2 (if available)
      4. Left spectrometer set to p0=261.2659 (QE peak)
        1. Use 7 foil C target
        2. Detector check with whole FP illumnated
        3. Pion rejector
        4. Cerenkov
        5. Make sure that FPP is ON (alignment data)
    3. BCM calibration (Arun Saha)
    4. Beam energy measurement if possible
    5. Elastic measurement with right spectrometer
      1. 0 degree C target
      2. 0 degree Tantalum target
      3. Slanted C target
      4. Fe target
  3. Production Run
    1. Left spectrometer set to p0=100 MeV/c
    2. Production data for 5 minutes each
      1. LD2 target
      2. Slanted C target
      3. Slanted Fe target
      4. Pb target
    3. Left spectrometer momentum change
      1. While changing, elastic measurement with right spectrometer
        1. 0 degree C target
        2. 0 degree Ta target
        3. Slanted C target (if time allows or specifically requested)
      2. Table of momentum settings to be provided later
    4. Last momentum setting at elastic
      1. Take elastic data with Left spectrometer with the following targets
        1. Slanted C
        2. Slanted Fe
        3. Pb (if available)
        4. LD2 (if available)
      2. Optics Data
        1. 7 foil C target
        2. Slanted C target
        3. -3%, -2%, +2%, +3%
    5. Transition from 90 degrees to 120 degrees
      1. Need to contact Hall-A technicians (Ed Folts). There are too many things on the floor.
      2. Momentum change to p0=100 MeV/c during rotation
    6. At 120 degrees
      1. Set p0=345.2441 MeV/c (C elastic)
      2. Take optics data with 7 foil C target
    7. Left spectrometer set to p0=100
    8. Repeat the same production runs as 90 degrees
    9. Last momentum setting at elastic
      1. Take elastic data with Left spectrometer with the following targets
        1. Slanted C
        2. Slanted Fe
        3. Pb (if available)
        4. LD2 (if available)
      2. Optics Data
        1. 7 foil C target
        2. Slanted C target
        3. -3%, -2%, +2%, +3%
