09/04/01:
12:00am, EPR, first increase rel/abs gains by 0.4 turn,
polarization: freq1/2 = 49.10/47.92 KHz, P1/2 = 48.09/46.94
comments: noise is better; did not observe slope (masing) in EPR spectrum.
12:11am, EPR, further increase rel/abs gains by 0.2 turn,
polarization: freq 1/2 = 48.75/47.32 KHz, P1/2 = 47.75/46.35
comments: noise is worse, (even worse than yesterday)
12:34am, EPR, decrease rel/abs gains by 0.2 turn, (back to 12:00am condition)
polarization: freq 1/2 = 47.64/47.46 KHz, P1/2 = 46.67/46.49
comments: noise is okay
conclusion: Masing is suppressed. Losses shown above are probablly due to AFP (24 seconds at reversed state).
Will do more EPRs at different gradient condition at 2am.
