RadCon has made surveys of radiation in the hall.
Near the target where Folts would work, the levels were
300 mr/hr at 07:00 and 282 at 13:00. Even trying to take into
account that the beam stopped hitting a target at 10:00 (and
not 07:00), the timescale to reach an acceptable level (100 mr) for
working is more than 10 hours. A lead blanket did not help
much. We will measure again at 17:00.
We will permit HAPPEX detector installation at 17:00 for
several hours, independently of the target radiation.
