keyword=FFB was turned off at 8:00 this morning.
Apparently, the reason that the beam quality improved dramatically this morning was that MCC turned off the FFB. We noticed it was off while doing the checklist and called up to find out the status. They are still waiting on some information, and we have told them that we will continue running without the FFB until they think that they can turn it back on safely.
p.s. It took all three shift workers AND the run coordinator to determine whether the FFBs for position and energy were ON or OFF, and we still got it wrong. Either the
general tools screen or the shift checklist needs better instruction/labeling.
