    keyword=Beam Current spikes seen

        Kathy notices that there have been two "spikes" in the
    beam current sent to us, of well above our requested 4 µA. See the
    below strip chart, where the greenish line at the bottom is the Hall A
    current in µA. While I type this, there has been a third. Each time
    it is right after a beam trip, i.e. at the end of the ramp back up.

    Kathy call's MCC to inform them of this, and express our concern.
    This is especially dangerous, since if we were running at higher currents a spike
    of this magnitude could very likely rupture the 3He target cell.
