keyword=Installed FLEX-IO module in Injector Crate
Installed a FLEX-IO module in the HAPPEX Injector Crate. This is a
module that'll latch the helicity signals at the end of the integrate
gate (instead of having them latched when they are readout... which
COULD be within the next helicity window).
This flex-io is a bit different than the one in the Counting House
crate. The input and output cards are in different locations.. this
confused me at first, because there are two memory registers on the
card for CSR and DATA.
Looks like CSR1 takes care of the input card, regardless of it's
physical location on the board... However, if the input card is in
the top slot... it's data will be in the DATA1 registers. If the
input card is in the bottom slot, it's data will be in the DATA2
registers.
Now that I've got that straightened out, I'm taking a "long" run
(2653) to verify that the Helicity that is readout in the Counting
House and Injector crate are ALWAYS the same. Once this is verified,
we can safely remove the helicity signals from the Counting House
crate and always read them out from the Injector Crate. Doing this
will render the following CODA configurations USELESS for production data
(will not contain helicity signals for HC event reconstruction):
happex2_min CountingHouse,LeftArm,RightArm
CountHouse CountingHouse
Lumi CountingHouse,RightArm
The following CODA configurations WILL be useful:
happex2 ALL Crates
GDH CountingHouse,Injector,RightArm
Beamline CountingHouse,Injector
Injector Injector
My next halog entry will contain the results of the helicity signal
synchronization check from run 2653.
