    keyword=preparations for studies tomorrow

    Talked to Jay Benesch: there are two options for changing optics to increase
    the effectiveness of the raster for tomorrow's studies. The first is the
    standard Hall A optics, and the second is the optics we're using now but with
    all quads after the raster turned off.

    I didn't quite understand the difference characteristics of the two options,
    but apparently both are easy and do what we want. Jay can be paged when this
    is set up to guide MCC's efforts, and he expects this to be no problem.

    So, we're "go" for bigger raster tomorrow.

    Second: talked to Matt Poelker about the source. He estimates with confidence
    that we can get about 70 uA from the laser. This is a product of being at
    high-polarization wavelength, and can't be much boosted. To get more power, we
    need to steal the Hall C laser (rephase that laser to create "A" beam). This
    is, of course, invasive to C. The setup and back-out for this procedure is
    very fast (few minutes, according to Matt) so we may be able to get away with
    this for relatively brief tests (if we can get Hall C to go along with it).

    So, we're good for 70uA of beam current, and to get higher we need to start
    discussions with Hall C.
