    Compton background rates became significantly worse after last night's beam retune. Previous week compton signal-to-noise ratio was averaging well over 22. this morning it had fallen to less than 0.5
    Background rates were 3 to 4kHz/uA

    We tried path length corrections and quad tweaks that improved things somewhat:

    Photon bkg rate 800 Hz/uA
    Electron bkg rate 400Hz/uA

    Not as iompressive as last week, but acceptable.
