Highlights
- 30 mn access to power cycle the Compton ROCS, between 6:15 and 6:45. OOPS
:B. Michaels let us know that this could have been done from upstairs.
- The beam was terribly choppy (a lot of beam trip) from 19:30 to 22:30.
Time line
- 16:15 : MCC reports trouble with beam : no beam for 20mn. Stopped run 4365,
and Compton run.
- 16:18 : the fastest 20mn ever, beam is back, start run 4366, start Compton
run.
- 17:10 : the beam is quite choppy today, we had 11 beam trip this last hour,
abu is 58 %.
- 18:12 : request an access to power cycle the Compton ROC
- 18:47 : beam permit, start with 1 uA to check raster size, the size is
fine, we are back at 40 uA.
- 19:00 : beam positions adjusted
- 19:29 : MCC calls to say that the beam is too instable (yes that's true),
and they will check orbits for while. Actually beam stayed off for an hour.
Beam was back but terribly instable (~20 trip per h) up to 22:30. At that time
MCC decided to bypassed a second RF zone and the beam became way more stable.
- 22:51 : beam is back, looks quite stable.
Run list
- 4365 : production
- 4366 : production
- 4367 : production
- 4368 : production
- 4369 : very short run, very instable beam
- 4370 : production, ended because of HV communication lost
- 4371 : production, terrible beam, at least 19 trips/h
- 4372 : production, still bad beam
- 4373 : production, beam way more stable
