keyword=vertical polarization measurement scheduled for Monday and TuesdayIn order to understand the difference between the asymmetry measured by detector 1 (left arm) and detector 3 (left arm), we will be taking data with the beam polarized vertically starting Monday during the day.
6-8 hours are needed to established beam delivery in this configuration. 2-3 hours are needed to reverse from vertical to longitudinal polarization. The exact duration of this test depend on what the detectors will be measuring, but nominally the back out form vertical polarization is scheduled for Tuesday.
Attached is the schedule for next week, including the non-production tests that we plan to do before the Labor day shutdown.
