    keyword=Neutron detector sum calibration

    I looked with Bogdan at the sum 8 on the neutron detector of run 2850. We determined first the threshold (figure 1), by looking at amplitude of S8 with a TDC value and without a TDC value. We determined the threshold was around 1800 channels for -320 mV.

    Using timing cuts on the coincidence : "na.nd.s1.RApedc[8]>-100&&na.nd.s1.RT[8]>-1000&&na.nd.s1.LT[8]>-1000&&abs(na.nd.s1.RT[8]+na.nd.s1.LT[8]-200)<40&&abs(na.nd.s1.RT[8]-na.nd.s1.LT[8])<25"

    We plotted na.nd.s1.RApedc[8]:na.nd.n1.RApedc[16] aplitude of sum S8R versus amplitude of n1-16R.

    We can see a stripe which correspond to a proton energy loss in block 16 for any value of the sum. Looking at the N116R amplitude we evaluated 450 channels = 10 MeV

    so the threshold on this sum is at the expected value of 50 MeV for 320 mV for the kinematic 2.
