    keyword=RIGHT Bogie failure

    Previous failure of Bogie required Hall entry and power "OFF" reset of bogie crate. Checked GUI and fuction of bogie controls screen. Checked O.K. Users began movement of RIGHT spectrometer in wrong direction(CCW) and had a drive failure. Tried to reset system and drive in(CW) direction and could not establish a FAC/RAC OK status for movement. Entered hall to troubleshoot problem and discovered bogie power supply had a #1 PHASE LOSS/Red LED indicator lit. Tried to recycle power. No help! Cycled 3 phase circuit breaker to bogie power. Also, No help. Measured across all phases to Bogie power supply from contactor switch through 3 PH. Solid State Relay(SSR) contacts. All phases measured appox. 107-110 VAC. Out put of bogie power supply was 180VDC. ???? Swapped out power supply with SPARE (PSM-125). Had same failure mode(PHASE LOSS)and no DC power output to motor drivers. Reasoned that a loss of ampheres through SSR to supply could be a problem. Removed SPARE Power supply, replaced it with original and installed new spare 3 PH. Solid state relay. Restored power to bogie system. Red LED was extinguished. Restored bogie control screen and re-established OK for all fuctions.
