It is a little unclear, but I think the underlying problem was that the
Hall A
networks lost some/all network access to the outside. For example
attempts to
check DNS resolution using 'host
Guy Ron power cycled the network switches in the middle room of the
counting house
and things seemed to improve after that.
Many systems seemed to be left in an unresponsive state. Rebooting the rocs
seemed to clear the remaining communication errors.
Other actions:
- bblinux2.jlab.org was rebooted.
- BB MWDC gas flow was tweaked up. Hopefully it will start bubbling
through again in an hour or two.
- Swapped the filter on channels 0--15 of the BB Cerenkov with the "JLab"
capacitive coupler model.
- Put BB Cerenkov PMT 9 (E09-R) on the networked scope bbspare1 for
observation.
