keyword=Compton Spectra in the New FADC

Gregg and I found the Compton spectrum in our new FADC last night, as well as in the counting DAQ. Here are some plots showing the FADC results. The FADC has no threshold. For these runs, we ran in a self-triggered mode to improve statistics.

Fig. 1 shows the spectrum of pulse amplitudes at -1600 V (where we are currently running the counting DAQ) and at -1850 V (the highest voltage we scanned last night). The x-axis is in raw ADC units, or RAU.

Fig. 2 shows the spectrum of pulse integrals at the same two voltages. Here the units are RAU-s, or RAU-samples. A sample is 5 ns.

Again, this is with the new PMT and Mark I tube base that we swapped in yesterday during the access.
